The Academic Excellence Fund helps to maintain the unique and essential part of a Queen’s education – the tutorial system. The dynamic academic discourse, as well as the pastoral care, provided by the Oxford tutorial lies at the heart of academic excellence at Queen’s. But this style of teaching is costly, particularly with cuts in income from government funding and cost increases.

Now, more than ever, the generosity of Old Members and Friends is vital to ensure that the tutorial system, which is so central to life at Queen’s, is secure and safe in perpetuity, and not subject to the vagaries of student funding.

Your gift to the Academic Excellence Fund will help us secure tutorial teaching Fellowships in perpetuity and support Junior Research Fellowships, as well as provide the provision for other teaching resources.
